Malpractice in Florida
I got such a kick out of this I posted it on my other blog too. Went to a walk-in clinic in Florida and they had this sign up. It did not inspire confidence. I was not impressed with the doctor either.

This notice is posted in more physician's offices in the State of Florida, than not. One benefit to the physician, is that there is a general misunderstanding regarding the implications of the message, for those seeking healthcare.
You would be surprised at the number of patients, who interpret their decision to be treated by one of these physicians as in effect, a type of implied consent and release from liability.
Mistakenly, they believe that these signs are in effect a warning, they can stay and be treated at their own risk. Should subsequent negligence or error by the physician result in serious injury or death, many patients believe, that they will no longer have the right to seek compensation for damages.
