The Albany Lawyer Is Moving

Yes, the rumors are true. The Albany Lawyer is moving to Florida.

We can be reached by phone at 888-733-5299, or e-mail at wredlich@gmail.com. We will continue to handle cases in the Albany area and the rest of upstate New York. Our associate, Stacey DeLoach, will open her own firm and we will continue to work together through a reciprocal of-counsel relationship. The local address is:

PO Box 634
Ballston Spa, NY 12020

I passed the Florida Bar Exam in February. I have to take another test in August, submit a ton of paperwork, and hope to be admitted in Florida sometime around the end of this year. I may or may not start taking cases there.

The plan is to continue managing our cases here, and to work on building up our traffic court directory and other websites.

They have a terrible court system down there and I don't envy you. I hope you are one of the good ones who will seek to change the behind the scenes court corruption that exists. There's a great need for attorneys in FL who will help victims of domestic violence. I know because I was one of them. My judge gave custody to the abuser because I didn't show up to court. He's listed in the NY state registry as having abused our children, held us hostage for 4 and a half hours, and tried to strangle me to death, but yeah he must be the better fit. He's used the system down there for 7 years to further traumatize me and terrorize me. Been thru 5 attorneys (one disbarred, 3 others dragged litigation out and "forgot to file correct motions", most recent only concerned with the other sides motions and conveniently filed the wrong motion, I had judge removed on bias and prejudice, another judge ordered reunification then dropped off the case, another ordered a motion frivolous (said I had to pay exes fees) when the motion sought to have contact with our children, the list goes on and on. Its like seeing a bunch of idiots in action. The only way a client gets anywhere in FL court is NOT to hire an attorney and to file motions that bring the federal arm into the court to scare them. I've been in court for 7 years and nothing has changed. Case is still exactly where it stood when it was originally filed. You'll quickly see that it is nothing like NY and the law, is a different kind of law. There's too much going on behind the scenes and I hope you are one to blow the whistle on this behavior and fight it. Don't go with the flow, be one of the good ones. :)
